Participants were instructed to look for a sign by a bench. A pedestrian recruited by Time and Space Died Yesterday approached them as they were searching, and handed them written instructions and a set of earplugs. The participants were guided to sit down, place the earplugs in their ears and dwell in the moment - observing the streets and details, and rewriting their experience of the landscape. Freed from the chatter of sound, this was an intimate opportunity for participants to re-observe and re-invent their environment. This experience sought to liberate the underlying poetics and beauty of the everyday, which are so often taken for granted. At the end of this interaction a new set of instructions were given to the participant, so the journey could unfold further...
