Once a balloon was discovered, the participant's journey into our parallel universe was activated through his/her affirmation of the first instruction - to go to Epistrophy Café on Mott St and locate a book of his choice. Throughout the day, three days in a row, participants drifted in and out of the café, mixing with the regular guests, moving through the space and exploring the bookshelves. Two dancers and a performer placed themselves as images in the café environment and created subtle interactions within this parallel sphere of constructed and actual reality.
